CREATION

It all started in a garage in the commune of Lods

1983

Creation of a 2,100 m2 storage unit in Ornans in addition to the 3,500 m2 site at Mouthier-Haute-Pierre.

1985

Expansion of the sales structures for traditional retail.

1986

Launch of the export department.

1987

Creation of a unit for PVC films in Ornans.

1988

Headquarters relocate from Mouthier-Haute-Pierre to a brand-new site in Ornans.

1989

GUILLIN EMBALLAGES listed on the Second Marché of the Lyon stock exchange.

1990

Acquisition of ALPHAFORM and DYNAPLAST, two companies specialising in plastic trays and dishware.

Creation of GPI UK, a distribution subsidiary in the United Kingdom.

1993

Acquisition of NESPAK, a company specialising in packaging for fruit and vegetables in Italy.

1999

ISO 9001 quality certification obtained for all of the companies in the GUILLIN Group.

2001

Strengthening of the restaurant and catering trade strategy with the acquisition of SOCAMEL TECHNOLOGIES and RESCASET CONCEPT.

Addition of sealing hardware, transportation and meal reheating.

2002

Acquisition of MACTRADE, to become GUILLIN ITALIA, GUILLIN EMBALLAGES’ principal distributor in Italy.

2003

Creation of a distribution platform in Spain, with GUILLIN ESPAÑA a subsidiary of GUILLIN EMBALLAGES.

2004

 Acquisition of the assets of the Polish company ANIS by ANIS OPAKOWANIA.

2005

Acquisition by ANIS OPAKOWANIA of the assets of the Polish company BLISTER BOX, which had a range of PP and OPS products that complemented those of ANIS OPAKOWANIA.

2006

Acquisition by VERIPACK EMBALAJES of the fruit and vegetables packaging business assets of the Barbera del Vallès site of Spanish company AUTOBAR PACKAGING SPAIN.

Acquisition by NESPAK of the British company PREMIER PACKAGING.

2007

Acquisition by SOCAMEL TECHNOLOGIES of the meal distribution carts business assets of the COLSTON company in England and creation of SOCAMEL UK.

Acquisition of the hot/cold trays and sealing film business assets of ADEQUATION PACKAGING by RESCASET CONCEPT.

Creation of a distribution platform in Portugal: GUILLIN PORTUGAL, a subsidiary of GUILLIN EMBALLAGES.

2010

Acquisition of the SHARP INTERPACK group in the United Kingdom.

 Development of the food industry division, especially in the meat products sector.

Creation of SHARPAK AYLESHAM, SHARPAK BRIDGWATER, SHARPAK YATE and SHARPAK NEDERLAND, to become GUILLIN NEDERLAND.

2012

Creation of GROUPE GUILLIN INMOBILIARIA ESPAÑA (Barcelona).

Creation of the German distribution subsidiary GUILLIN DEUTSCHLAND.

Creation of the Spanish distribution subsidiary TECNOLOGIAS SOCAMEL 3000, a wholly owned subsidiary of SOCAMEL TECHNOLOGIES.

2015

Acquisition of the KREIS Group comprising three companies: KIV KREIS GmbH, KFB GmbH in Germany and KREIS PACK Sp z o.o. in Poland.

The KREIS companies in Germany become KIV VERPACKUNGEN.

2017

The company THEODOR R. RIST GMBH, acquired by SOCAMEL TECHNOLOGIES in 2016, becomes SOCAMEL DEUTSCHLAND GmbH in Germany.

2018

Merger of ANIS OPAKOWANIA and KREIS PACK in Poland to create the new entity GUILLIN POLSKA.

Acquisition of the British CPET packaging business of the company ETIMEX PRIMARY PACKAGING GmbH.

Acquisition of the THIOLAT Group France, Spain and Romania, specialising in paper and cardboard packaging for food professionals.

2019

Acquisition of the company FLIGHT PLASTICS UK LTD in the United Kingdom, specialising in the production of plastic films.

2020

The Romanian subsidiary of THIOLAT becomes GUILLIN ROMANIA.

Acquisition of the company THERMOFLEX SA in Switzerland, specialising in the distribution of food packaging throughout the Swiss market, primarily to food professionals.

2021

Acquisition of the GAULT & FRÉMONT Group, composed of the companies EMBALLAGES DU DAUPHINÉ, INTERSAC, MONTGOLFIER, specialised in the design and production of paper / cardboard packaging solutions and bags for the food industry, on the French and Belgian markets.

The company FLIGHT PLASTICS UK LTD, acquired in 2019, becomes SHARPAK ROMSEY in the United Kingdom.
